This travel tip from my brother is basically useless to me right now (since ya know, I live in a travel trailer and drive everywhere), but it's something I want to remember down the line.
At the airport as he was readying to go through security, my brother put almost every alarm triggering object on his person (belt, wallet, phone, earbuds, etc.) in his carry-on bag. Then, after he and his belongings had passed through the scanners, he could just easily pick up his bag and shoes and get out of the way for the next person. It eliminates the scramble to put oneself back together after getting through. As someone who gets clumsy and inefficient when the pressure's on, I really, really want to remember this for the future.
