Today I downloaded the app Duolingo because I really want to buckle down on learning German. One thing that really struck me in my hour plus of obsessive practice is how "see you tomorrow" is said. It's Bis morgen. Literally translated, it means "until tomorrow." I love that. It's so archaic.
But the real kicker is that morgen can also mean "morning." I love that even more since it's like saying, "til morning," which to me is just such a romantic of expressing it.
I love the literal translations of languages so much better than the English equivalents. They express so much more depth than equivalents ever could.
